Most bachata socials open with a lesson before the social dancing starts. Bachatopia Tuesdays and Bachata ME Thursdays are the easiest first nights because the whole room is there for bachata. Rueda de la Vida runs free beginner salsa and bachata classes on Thursdays at Anomaly Studios in Mount Pleasant.
What it costs
Weekly bachata socials run about $10 to $17 at the door. Many are cheaper before a cutoff time or free if you take a class at the studio that night. Outdoor summer sessions are free.
No partner needed
