La Noche Pa' Gozar is the weekly Friday salsa and bachata social at Dance Vancouver Studio (DVS), 1627 West Broadway near Broadway and Granville. Doors open at 8:30pm, a 30-minute beginner lesson starts at 9pm with a different style each week (Colombian salsa, Dominican bachata, cumbia and more), and the party runs 9:30pm to 1am with rotating DJs. The music leans salsa, with plenty of bachata. Cover is $15, $10 for ladies before 10pm, $8 for DVS members, with student and senior discounts. Insider tip: take any DVS class earlier that Friday and you get a stamp for free entry to the social.
